creator owned projects
These are all personal projects in various stages of development or release. Some have been self-published and others I am open to working with creator-owned publishers to find a wider audience. I can be contacted at- kasey.quevedo@comcast.net if you would like to know more about any of these projects.
Velocidad
Velocidad is 'Bikers In Spaaaaaace!" Capitan and his crew eke out a living pulling off deep space heists on cargo ships belonging to the Sol Prime Enforcement Corp. When they grab some very sensitive cargo they draw the attention of the very tenacious Merc Escort Officer Drake.
Velocidad started as a sci-fi webcomic launched in 2014. Over the course of a few years, I released a page a week (with time off for good behavior) and concluded the first story arc with issue 5. At various times I have printed small runs of the first few issues as well as a very small run of the collected initial story arc.
Velocidad was my love letter to 80’s sci-fi, video games, heist movies, and comics in general. The second arc for Velocidad has been outlined and the first few issues scripted. While I have self published in print and online, I am open to further exploration of Velocidad with outside publishing.

DEad mANS PARTY
An 80’s retro one-hit-wonder band gets one last gig to play a small venue in a remote casino in the middle of nowhere. When they break down with a tour bus full of groupies, they find out their rabid fans may end up wanting a literal piece of them.
Dead Man’s Party is a little bit Rockstar, a little bit Shawn of the Dead, and a few crates worth of Aquanet. It is horror by nature, but with a fun 80’s slant.
Dead Man’s Party started as a kernel of an idea on road trips back and forth to and from Washington to California. All the old 80’s one-hit wonder bands(that i may or may not have grown up with) were still plugging along at these remote out of the way venues. it was also the realization that maybe sometimes you should just leave your glory days behind you. I have completed the linework for all pages.
I am doing a short print run for Cons, and am open will be sharing with interested publishers.

CRYOKIDS
A group of superpowered teenagers navigate tween-hood and being trained as merciless soldiers. A mysterious stranger knows the truth behind their powers, and will risk everything to rescue them.
CryoKids started as my reimagining of Atari Force with them as kids, but morphed into it’s own story. This has been a fun project for me as I am trying the old Marvel method of going straight from my outline to pages. Since I write for myself I already have the pages pictured in my head when I do the outline, so it’s been a fun experiment.

SPACE DOXX
Miguel leaves the safety and comfort of Earth for the opportunity to take a cushy job and live on the edges of Humanity Settled Planets to live among the aliens and creatures he’d only heard about. When his identity is stolen and swapped, he is forced to take the only job he can get, working the Space Doxx on the Space Station he is stranded on. Now he is a stranger in a strange world who must contend with gruff alien workers, bar fights, jail, rambling locals, relentless supervisors, and a local alien crime boss who thinks Miguel is the key to finding their stolen goods.
(Strangely) Semi-autobiographical in nature, Space Doxx is a mix of blue collar comedy, commentary on the raiding of resources and classism all with fun boisterous and colorful aliens.
Space Doxx is a little more early in development, but will be looking for a publisher to help share with a wider audience.
